Now that I’m back from my honeymoon, I just wanted to send you an email to say thank you SO much for being a part of my wedding. The day went off without a hitch, and it was one of the most fun days of my life! Merriweather Manor looked particularly gorgeous on 10.15.11, and I got a ton of compliments about my choice of venue!!

Our wedding at Merriweather Manor was absolutely amazing. My husband and I loved the manor house, both inside and out. The fresh air, amazing views, dancing under the stars, historic atmosphere are just a few great things to say about Merriweather. We looked at 8 other wedding venues around the Virginia, Maryland and D.C. area, and when we saw Merriweather, we just knew it was the place where we wanted to celebrate out marriage with our family and friends.
Working with the owner of Merriweather, Andrew, was a very pleasant experience. Leading up to the wedding, he let us come to the property on Sundays to show our family, meet with our vendors and to get ideas for decorations. Andrew was very accommodating the day of the wedding. We gave him liberty to be creative with the arrangement of the lights, tables and other decorations and we were blown away with how amazing the place looked. Our guests are still raving about how magical the evening was. When it started raining just before the ceremony started, Andrew made a potentially traumatic experience into a seamless one because he was quick to react.
I would recommend Merriweather to anyone who is looking for a wedding that is elegant and charming!
